Diabetes Diagnosis

Having been diagnosed with diabetes action has to be taken to either live a healthy life with diabetes or some measures can be employed to cure diabetes. Diabetes cure is different for each type of diabetes but unfortunately for both there is no definite cure for them but the ones that exist today involve mainly surgery.
Diabetes cure of the type 1 diabetes is dependant on the replacement of the Islets of Langerhans or the beta cells that would have been infected. A common application is a pancreas- kidney transplant. This involves surgery and results in complete cure from diabetes. Compatibility is a major issue when it comes to transplants; it is sensitive and therefore requires monitoring to a certain degree after the transplant, which may involve long term medication.
Diabetes cure for type 2 diabetes, involves surgery targeted to obese patients. The result is more of normalizing the glucose level more than reducing the weight during surgery. Thus far this treatment has been successful. With gestational diabetes, there is no cure as it leaves as soon as the baby is born, instead there are measures undertaken to treat the diabetes.
As evidenced above diabetes cure is limited and is not a common option undertaken by most and is not open to all. The options offered may favor some and not be adequate for others.
